MAPLe for Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

MAPLe is able to provide specific biofeedback to help you activate or release muscles that are not functioning correctly.The device recognises electrical activity within the muscles at rest and during contraction.

Electrical stimulation can also be applied to individual muscles, enabling muscle bulking, sensory training and restoration of normal functional ability to the whole pelvic floor muscle unit.

Vaginal Probe

The MAPLe probe is small and easy to use. There are 24 electrodes along the probe, each able to sense electrical activity in all pelvic floor muscles or sphincters (if used rectally). These electrodes can also provide electrical stimulation to artificially activate the muscles.

In Depth Assessment

During assessment, the probe identifies muscle activity in each of your pelvic floor muscles and communicates this information to an iPad. This will inform your therapist of treatment and exercise requirements. Your therapist will also be able to educate you about your muscle function.

Objective Comparisons

The MAPLe provides objective comparisons throughout your treatment journey. The objective feedback also helps your therapist provide up to date treatments as you progress, and give you objective information about the changes occurring within your muscles.

Initial Assessment for MAPLe is an hour and costs £205, This covers the cost of the probe (£120) and the cost of the assessment (£85).

There are 2 package deals available - 

Package 1 - Assessment + Probe and 4 follow up treatments - £395 (Saving of £50)

Package 2 - Assessment and 6 follow up treatments - £500 (Saving of £65)

Both packages must be paid in advance and are non-refundable.

Pay As You Go will not give the benefits of any reductions and will be charged at the individual costs listed above.
